About the event
A German song by Herbert Grönemeyer asks "When is a man a man?" All kind of stereotypes come up in this song and probably also in our minds when asked this question.
In this exhibition I will focus on old and outdated stereotypes and new ideas on masculinities. In a world opening up to more than two genders, what does it (still) mean to be a man? Is "toxic masculinity" something which done "by others not by me" or is there a shared responsibility we could become better at? And what do we individually cherish and love about men? What connects us? What devides us?
