Oil paint and charcoal on canvas
(Part of the series "Green Sea")

As base of the minimalistic painting „Centuries have passed“ I used a poem I wrote as background (2024, „An empty pit“). The words are written with willow charcoal on a merely gessoed canvas. The topic of the poem is a nearly forgotten person, who is also very present and a source of inspiration and yearning. The figure is relating to the vibe of the poem: leaning into the nearly forgotten memory, a state of looking inside, dreaming. The tiny goldfish on the upper right side of the figure can be seen as connection to being present and aware in the now - while „under water“ (the subconscious).

The underlaying poem "An empty pit" you can find in my poem section on my homepage: https://www.sirisundin.com/poetry

Right now, the series "Green Sea" is not yet for sale, therefore you find the price at 1 and "out of stock.

I plan to paint about 10 pieces, before I will sell them - and maybe have an exhibition before. If you want to order a print or reserve this painting send me a message: siri@siriberlin.de

Thank you.
